Amazon’s latest shipping program helps level the playing field between FBA and FBM sellers. With the launch of FBM Ship+, Amazon is providing merchant-fulfilled sellers an avenue to compete with FBA-level delivery speeds without the usual high costs and logistical headaches. Here’s what you need to know:
What is Amazon's FBM Ship+ Program for Merchant-Fulfilled Sellers?
FBM Ship+ is Amazon’s newest fulfillment feature for merchant-fulfilled sellers. Instead of guessing delivery windows and relying on slower shipping methods, FBM Ship+ allows Amazon to step in with predictive delivery models, faster partner carriers, and handling times that reflect your actual performance. This results in FBM sellers being able to better compete with FBA offers.
Currently, the program is only available for sellers shipping from China to other major marketplaces, including the US, EU, and Japan. However, Amazon has already confirmed that the feature will become available in more regions soon.

Signing up for Amazon's FBM Ship+ Program:
Sellers can enroll by visiting the FBM Ship+ page or by navigating to the fulfillment programs section under general shipping settings and clicking “Get Started” and “Enroll to FBM Ship+”. From there, Amazon will auto-select your shipping templates by default, but sellers can change them as needed.
Once you’re enrolled, you can begin purchasing FBM Ship+ labels via Amazon Buy Shipping in Seller Central, or connect through your ERP system directly. You will have access to FBM Ship+ labels via Amazon Buy Shipping.
Benefits of Utilizing Amazon's FBM Ship+ Program:
The most prominent feature of Amazon’s FBM Ship+ feature is the speed of delivery itself, attracting more customers to convert, leading to a high chance of competing with FBA offers. Benefits include:
- Faster & more accurate delivery windows: get access to FBM Ship+ labels via the Amazon Buy Shipping feature, helping merchant fulfilled sellers compete with FBA offers.
- Account health protections: FBM Ship+ labels are OTDR-protected, meaning if deliveries are delayed, it will not count against your on-time delivery rate metric.
- Cash-back incentives: each shipment earns you a credit, saving you on fees, which ultimately helps improve product margins.
