The most wonderful time of the year is almost here – crisp air, cozy nights, and festive traditions filling our calendars. But for Amazon FBA sellers, the holiday season brings more than just cheer. It also ushers in the reality of peak fulfillment fees, a challenge that can sometimes make or break your Q4 strategy.

What Is Amazon's Peak Holiday Fulfillment FBA Fees?

Every year, Amazon applies temporary fulfillment fees to help cover the extra costs of handling the holiday rush. These peak fees account for increased labor, transportation, and operational demands during Q4’s biggest shopping window. These fees take place from October 15 through January 14.

The good news is that, unlike previous years, Amazon is keeping peak fulfillment fees the same as the year prior! This consistency gives sellers more stability when forecasting margins and planning holiday pricing and promotions.

Amazon's Peak Fulfillment FBA Fees for 2025:

The fee structure is identical to last year, with fee increases starting at $0.19 per unit, depending on item size and weight. It’s a good idea to preview your exact fees in Amazon’s Revenue Calculator to see the impact on your catalog. A few examples of the increased fees include:

  • Small standard (2 oz or less): $3.25 (vs. $3.06 non-peak)
  • Large standard (1 lb – 1.25 lb): $5.29 (vs. $4.99 non-peak)
  • Large bulky (up to 50 lb): $10.65 + $0.38/lb after the first lb (vs. $9.61 base non-peak)
  • Extra-large (70–150 lb): $59.23 + $0.75/lb after 71 lb (vs. $54.81 base non-peak)

Why Didn’t Amazon Increase Peak Fulfillment FBA Fees for 2025?

Amazon’s reason for their decision to keep fees the same as the year prior was not announced. However, CEO Andy Jassy has recently highlighted improvements in fulfillment efficiency. It’s reasonable to assume that these changes allowed Amazon to keep their peak season fees the same without passing on additional increases to sellers.
