Back in November 2021, we discussed Amazon launching theCompliance Reference Tool in Seller Central. Recently, Amazon announced that the tool is now available to vendors.

What is the Compliance Reference Tool?
The Compliance Reference Tool was created to help aid with navigating compliance obligations when selling on Amazon. The tool also helps provide Vendors with a list of Amazon-approved 3rd party Service Providers who can help with the required documentation your products need to become approved by Amazon.
How can vendors benefit from using it?
The tool mostly focuses on highly regulated product types, most of which surround Baby and Child Safety Products – for example:Car Seats or Infant Walkers. Vendors can save themselves potential future headaches by using the Compliance Reference tool and Amazon’s Policies in general in advance, to ensure they have the required documentation on hand.
As a rule of thumb, we recommend doing some research before you start adding them to your Vendor Central catalog. Just because your product is currently active and available for sale, doesn’t necessarily mean that your product follows all of Amazon’s policies, or that they’re not at risk of being flagged in the future.
